Civil Engineering has a special status in Engineering Education. Civil Engineering plays a key role in the development of other fields of Engineering. The department started in the year 2009. The vision of the Civil Engineering Department is to enhance the skills and capabilities of Civil Engineering students in all the domains of Civil Engineering.
Many of our alumni hold prestigious positions in leading academic institutions, industry, and government in different countries all over the world. The department has well-qualified faculty members with different areas of specialization with good academic, field, and research backgrounds. Non-teaching staff members are also having good teaching and industrial experience. They are capable of handling any lab, which is highly beneficial to the students. We have an Environmental Engineering lab, Strength of Materials lab, Fluid Mechanics lab, Geotechnical lab, Survey lab, Concrete lab, and Transportation lab with all modern high-capacity equipment.
The department concentrates on academic activities and gives motivation to students in cultural and extracurricular activities also. All the students of our department play an active role in social service activities in and around the area
