Welcome to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at IIET. The IEDC is a dynamic and forward-thinking initiative that fosters innovation and nurtures entrepreneurial spirit among our students. Our center aims to inspire and empower aspiring entrepreneurs, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to transform their innovative ideas into successful ventures.

Objectives of IEDC

  • Cultivate Innovation: The primary objective of the IEDC is to foster a culture of innovation and creativity among students. We encourage them to think outside the box, identify problems, and develop innovative solutions that address real-world challenges.
  • Promote Entrepreneurial Mindset: The IEDC strives to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in our students. By encouraging risk-taking, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, we aim to nurture future entrepreneurs who can drive positive change in society.
  • Provide Mentorship and Guidance: Our center offers expert mentorship and guidance to aspiring entrepreneurs. Experienced mentors from various industries guide students through the process of ideation, business planning, and execution, helping them refine their business models and strategies.
  • Skill Development: Through workshops, seminars, and training programs, the IEDC equips students with essential entrepreneurial skills, such as business planning, marketing, finance management, and leadership, enabling them to navigate the challenges of starting and running a business.
  • Facilitate Networking and Collaboration: We create a vibrant ecosystem where students can connect with like-minded peers, industry experts, and investors. This network provides valuable opportunities for collaboration, partnerships, and access to resources that can accelerate the growth of their ventures.

Functions of IEDC

  • Idea Incubation: The IEDC serves as an incubation center for novel ideas and concepts. We help students validate their ideas, develop prototypes, and test their feasibility before turning them into viable business propositions.
  • Entrepreneurship Workshops and Events: We conduct regular workshops, seminars, and events that focus on various aspects of entrepreneurship. These sessions provide insights into the entrepreneurial journey, industry trends, and success stories, inspiring students to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
  • Business Plan Competitions: The IEDC organizes business plan competitions to encourage students to pitch their start-up ideas. These competitions provide a platform for students to receive feedback from expert judges, refine their business plans, and potentially secure funding and support for their ventures.
  • Incubation Support: For promising start-ups, the IEDC offers incubation support, including physical workspace, access to lab facilities, and networking opportunities. This support enables start-ups to develop and scale their businesses in a conducive environment.
  •  Funding Opportunities: We help connect students with potential investors and funding agencies, providing them with opportunities to secure financial support to kick-start their ventures.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre at IIPE is committed to empowering students to be innovative thinkers, visionary leaders, and successful entrepreneurs. Through a combination of mentorship, skill development, and networking, we aim to create a thriving ecosystem that fosters the growth of entrepreneurship and contributes to the development of a vibrant start-up culture on our campus.
