NSS Unit 249 Celebrates 57th NSS Day with a Flurry of Social Outreach Activities
NSS Unit 249 of Indira Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (IIET) celebrated the 57th NSS Day with a series of meaningful social awareness and community outreach activities.
The celebrations commenced with the NSS Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the college campus, conducted by Principal Dr. S. Senthilkumar Sir
Following the campus ceremony, a series of outreach programmes were organised at Aluva Railway Station. The activities included a vibrant Flash Mob, Street Play, Awareness Rally, Awareness Pledge under Drug Awareness Operation Toofan, Swachhata Pledge, and a Cleaning Drive at the railway station.
The Operation Toofan awareness programme was inaugurated by Aluva Sub-Inspector Mr. Manikandan Sir ,Along with Railway Health Officer Ms. Surya, who encouraged the volunteers to actively participate in creating awareness among the public.
As part of the programme, NSS volunteers also conducted a Blood Donation Awareness Campaign, encouraging the public to come forward and contribute towards saving lives through voluntary blood donation.
